Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about buying liquidation pallets, reselling for profit, and working with PalletHub Wholesale.

Getting Started

What is a liquidation pallet?

A liquidation pallet is a large lot of merchandise — typically 50 to 300+ items — sourced from major retailers like Amazon, Target, and Walmart. These products are customer returns, overstock inventory, or shelf pulls that retailers sell in bulk at a fraction of the original retail price. Buyers purchase pallets to resell individual items for profit on platforms like eBay, Amazon FBA, Facebook Marketplace, or in physical stores.

How much does a liquidation pallet cost?

Liquidation pallets at PalletHub Wholesale range from $150 to $5,000+ depending on the category, condition, and total retail value. Entry-level mixed pallets start around $150–$400, while specialized electronics or premium brand pallets can cost $2,000–$5,000. On average, you pay 10–20% of the total retail value of the items inside.

Do I need a business license to buy liquidation pallets?

No, you do not need a business license to purchase liquidation pallets from PalletHub Wholesale. We sell to both individuals and businesses. However, if you plan to resell items regularly, we recommend obtaining a reseller's permit or sales tax ID in your state. This allows you to avoid paying sales tax on your purchases and collect it from your customers instead.

How much money can I make reselling liquidation pallets?

Most resellers earn 2x to 5x their initial investment per pallet. For example, a $500 pallet with $3,000 in retail value can realistically yield $1,000–$2,500 in sales revenue after accounting for items in lower condition. Experienced resellers who specialize in a niche and optimize their listings can achieve even higher margins. Your profit depends on the category, your selling platform, pricing strategy, and how quickly you list items.

Products & Manifests

What is a pallet manifest?

A pallet manifest is an itemized list of every product included in a liquidation pallet. It shows each item's name, quantity, condition (new, like new, used, damaged), and estimated retail value. At PalletHub Wholesale, every pallet includes a verified manifest so you know exactly what you're buying before you purchase — no blind pallets, no surprises.

What condition are the items in a liquidation pallet?

Item conditions vary by pallet and are clearly labeled on every manifest. Common condition grades include: New/Sealed (unopened, original packaging), Like New (opened but unused, all accessories included), Used — Good (minor cosmetic wear, fully functional), and Salvage (may need repair or is sold for parts). Most PalletHub pallets contain 60–80% new or like-new items.

What categories of products do you sell?

PalletHub Wholesale offers liquidation pallets across multiple categories: Electronics (headphones, tablets, smart home devices), Home & Kitchen (appliances, cookware, décor), Apparel & Shoes (branded clothing, footwear, accessories), Tools & Hardware (power tools, hand tools, safety equipment), Toys & Games (action figures, board games, outdoor toys), and General Merchandise (mixed-category pallets with high variety). New categories and inventory are added weekly.

Are liquidation pallets the same as mystery boxes?

No. Mystery boxes contain random, unverified items with no manifest or itemized list — you have no idea what's inside until you open them. Liquidation pallets from PalletHub Wholesale include a detailed manifest listing every item, its condition, and retail value. You always know exactly what you're purchasing before you buy. This transparency is what separates legitimate liquidation wholesalers from mystery box sellers.

Shipping & Delivery

How much does shipping cost for a liquidation pallet?

Shipping costs depend on the pallet size, weight, and delivery distance from our Dallas, TX warehouse. Standard freight shipping within the continental US typically costs $150–$400 per pallet. Local pickup from our Dallas warehouse is free. We provide exact shipping quotes before you purchase so there are no hidden fees.

How long does delivery take?

Pallets ship within 1–2 business days after payment confirmation. Standard freight delivery takes 3–7 business days to most locations in the continental United States. Expedited shipping options are available for an additional fee. You'll receive a tracking number via email as soon as your pallet ships.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship internationally. We work with freight forwarders to deliver pallets to Mexico, Canada, Central America, the Caribbean, and other regions. International buyers are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, and any additional freight forwarding fees. Contact us for an international shipping quote.

Can I pick up my pallet in person?

Yes. Free local pickup is available at our warehouse located at 1240 Industrial Blvd, Dallas, TX 75207. Pickup hours are Monday through Friday, 8am–6pm CT. Please schedule your pickup at least 24 hours in advance so we can have your pallet ready on the loading dock.

Returns & Guarantees

What is your return policy on liquidation pallets?

All liquidation pallet sales are final. Because every pallet includes a verified manifest with item-by-item details and condition grades, you know exactly what you're purchasing before you buy. If a pallet arrives with significant damage during shipping or the contents don't match the manifest, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we will resolve the issue — either with a partial refund, replacement items, or a credit toward your next order.

What if my pallet is damaged during shipping?

All pallets are professionally shrink-wrapped, secured, and insured during transit. If your pallet arrives with visible freight damage, note the damage on the delivery receipt, take photos immediately, and contact us within 48 hours at sales@pallethub.com. We will file a freight claim and either replace the damaged items or issue a credit to your account.

Do you guarantee the retail value listed on the manifest?

The retail values listed on manifests are estimated based on current market prices at the time of sourcing. Actual resale values may vary depending on demand, platform fees, condition, and market timing. We guarantee manifest accuracy — meaning the items listed will be in the pallet, in the stated conditions — but final resale revenue depends on your selling strategy and platform.

Reselling & Profit

Where is the best place to resell liquidation pallet items?

The best platforms for reselling liquidation items are: eBay (best for electronics, branded items, and collectibles), Amazon FBA (best for new/sealed items with existing listings), Facebook Marketplace (best for furniture, large items, and local sales), Mercari (best for apparel, shoes, and accessories), and Poshmark (best for clothing and fashion brands). Many successful resellers list on 2–3 platforms simultaneously to maximize exposure and sales speed.

What tools do I need to start reselling?

To start reselling liquidation items, you need: a smartphone with a good camera for product photos, a kitchen scale and measuring tape for shipping dimensions, packing supplies (boxes, bubble wrap, poly mailers, tape), a label printer (optional but saves time), and accounts on your chosen selling platforms. Total startup cost for supplies is typically $50–$100. Free apps like the eBay seller app and Amazon Seller app help you scan barcodes and check current selling prices instantly.

How do I price items from a liquidation pallet?

Research the current selling price of each item on your target platform by searching for the same product in "sold" or "completed" listings. Price new/sealed items at 60–80% of retail. Price like-new items at 40–60% of retail. Price used items at 20–40% of retail. Factor in platform fees (typically 10–15%) and shipping costs. The goal is to price competitively while maintaining at least a 2x return on your per-item cost from the pallet.
